Don't be a holster for a bad guy! Learn to neutralize an ambush, earn your draw and get your gun into the fight to even the odds. This is a live fire course open to the public. Join us Saturday, October 19th, 2024 from 8am - 5pm in Vienna, WV.
We only run this class a couple times a year. Sign up today.
This class is the missing link between shooting and martial arts. There are many circumstances when the attack happens too fast, from too close, to go straight to a firearm. You need the fighting skills to create the opportunity to access a firearm or other use of force tool. If you're a law enforcement officer or armed citizen, you owe it to yourself to learn this material.
Weapons Accessing is a combatives seminar designed for beginner to advanced shooters to improve their ability to reliably access their firearm or other use of force tools after an ambush.
This course will teach you concepts and techniques to reliably access your firearm or less lethal options while in the clinch, on the ground, or against a knife at close range. You'll learn how to defend against a surprise attack and how to use the element of surprise to access your weapons.
The goal of this training is not to learn a plethora of new techniques but, rather to functionalize a few simple techniques that work in a variety of circumstances.
Topics Include:
*In Fight Weapons Accessing
*Handgun Retention
*Countering common attacks
*CQ edged weapons defense
*CQ & contact shooting considerations

Yesterday I took a class called “Earn Your Draw - Weapons Accessing” with Warrior Tactical Systems. The class was taught by Paul Clark and Larry Kearns. They did an outstanding job teaching this class. This was my first time taking a full class with these two and as I expected, they did an great job. They both have a long background to support their teachings. They were both great communicators as they taught the material and they both bring a little different ideas to some aspects of the training. They worked really well together to give all of us one on one time as needed to get us up to speed on each new skill.
The class started on the range for the first half of the day for some live fire shooting. We shot around 100 rounds of ammo working on moving and shooting, shooting from retention, and contact shooting. We ran through some firearm manipulation exercises used for the system they were teaching and implemented them throughout the range portion. We then broke for lunch and headed to the gym afterwards.
When getting to the gym we all got geared up with our dummy firearms and started right into learning how to actually implement the skills. We worked through everything from striking, moving off the X to reset your opponent’s OODA loop, grappling, defense against takedowns, defense against strikes, and defense against knife attacks, some BJJ ground positions, and submissions. Some of the best training I took away from the class aside from the new skills were the pre assault indicators so to speak. Recognizing body movements to give you an indication someone is going for something and you may need to defend yourself isn’t something that most people train or train often. Just like when I’ve done force-on-force in my firearms training this is always the best training in my opinion and I always learn the most from each situation as it plays out.
All in all I can’t think of a bad thing to say about the class. I will be training with these guys again and I hope sooner rather than later. If you’re looking for this type of training do yourself a favor and check them out. I know a lot of LE that are FB friends of mine that this type of class could go along way in helping with their jobs. I believe they said this class meets the training requirement for LE. So if you’re looking for some training hours and local get ahold of them to schedule.
Thanks for the awesome class Paul and Larry.
