Course Description

Getting a Concealed Carry permit is about saving lives, not taking them. If you don’t protect your loved ones who will?

Classroom topics include:

*Safe Handling and Storage

*Choosing a Firearm for Self Defense

*Use of Force and Legal Issues

*Case Studies of Armed Citizens

*Self-Defense Concepts (Awareness & Avoidance)

*Aftermath of a Deadly Force Encounter

Range time includes:

*Marksmanship Fundamentals

*Close Quarter Shooting for Weapon Retention

*Alternative Sighting Methods

Students Need to Bring:

-An unloaded, functional handgun in a case or holster.

-Eye and ear protection.

-100 rounds of ammunition

-Lunch

-Weather appropriate clothing

This course is designed to provide a new shooter with the skills and attitude to safely handle and shoot a firearm but, as you can see, advanced shooters will also find something of value. This 8 hour course meets the legal requirements for Ohio and West Virginia.

Registration: Quality training and instruction is our top priority. With that in mind, we keep classes small and require students to register in advance to reserve a spot in class.

Weather: We will not cancel class because of adverse weather conditions. Dress appropriately.

Paul Clark is a lifelong martial artist and shooter. For the last 6 years, Paul has taught 3 concealed carry classes a month in Cabela's and Sportsman's Warehouse stores throughout WV, training an estimated 2,000 students during that time. During his 10 years in Corrections, Paul helped design the Defensive Tactics program used by the West Virginia Division of Corrections and was a Senior Firearms Instructor. He is currently a full time Law & Public Safety Instructor.

Who is this class designed for?

This class is designed for beginners who want to know how to safely handle a firearm and the basics of the legal use of force. If you've never touched a gun before, this class will help you get started. Safety is our number one priority. If you're already a shooter, you will also get a lot out of this class.

How much does the class cost?

Regular price is $95.

What are the class's gear requirements?

Students Need to Bring:

-An unloaded, functional handgun in a case or holster. (.22's are fine. Any handgun you can handle well is fine. It doesn't have to be your carry gun.)

-Eye and ear protection.

-100 rounds of ammunition

-Lunch

-Weather appropriate clothing

What's your cancellation policy?

Cancellation Policy: If we cancel your class a full refund or credit for the next available class (your choice) will be given. If you cancel 30 days or more in advance your deposit or full payment is completely refundable. If you cancel at least 14 days in advance you will receive a full credit toward the next class. If you cancel less than 14 days in advance your payment is non-refundable.

What is the physical location of the class?

The class will be held at a private range in outside Waverly, WV. You will be sent the address after prepaying for the class.
